01/02/06 In a lecture
series organised by the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and the Santa
María Cathedral Foundation, prestigious thinkers, writers,
philosophers, humanists and scientists, such as Carlos Castilla del
Pino, Ángeles Caso, Ana María Matute, Carlos
Amigo, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Francesco Alberoni, will discuss
several issues pertaining to human life.
At the lectures, called “The Art of Living: Man as an
Architect of his own Life”, speakers will present their views
on learning how to live, helping find the tools to face life in
different moments and stages, and applying them to live better.
These and similar issues will be discussed by professionals whose works
deal with the art of living and the conquest of happiness. Held at the
Villa Suso Palace from 6 to 9 February at 20:00, the lectures have been
organised as an open forum for the discussion of radically different
ways of understanding life, in the same spirit that has inspired the
Santa María Cathedral Foundation.
“The Art of Living: Man as an Architect of his own
Life” is part of the cultural programme “Encounters
with the Cathedral”, whose connection with the restoration of
the Santa María Cathedral in Vitoria-Gasteiz can be seen in
the light of an understanding of life as a whole, an integrated,
multidisciplinary master plan that can help in walking the interior
path from childhood to old age.
The lectures are free of charge and open to the general public, who
will be admitted at 19:50 without prior invitation until full capacity
is reached. Members of the Circle of Founders will be admitted earlier
with their ID cards, in recognition of their collaboration in this
project.
