It is the first in a series of four issues that will review the history of the Cathedral in Vitoria.
Today, Fundación Catedral Santa María
has presented Raíces de piedra, or Stone Roots, a comic that recounts
the origin and growth of Santa Maria Cathedral. With illustrations by
Pencho de Armentia and a narrative by historian Gonzalo Martínez de
Antoñana, it has been published by the Saure publishing firm and is the
first in a series of four issues that will review the history of the
Cathedral in Vitoria from the start of its construction until today.
5,000 copies in four languages – Spanish, Basque, English and French –
have been published and can be purchased at the Cathedral’s Visitor
Reception Centre for 5 euros.
