2010/01/04 People taking part in any of the tours to the Cathedral can exchange their tickets for glass of homemade chocolate at Chokoreeto, the bakery of La Peña Dulce . It is part of the celebration of the Foundation's tenth anniversary.
Vitoria-Gasteiz, 4th January 2010.- The Santa María Cathedral and the chocolate makers from La Peña Dulce, Chokoreeto, will give away to visitors of the temple 10.000 glasses of homemade hot chocolate. This initiative, which will start next Thursday 7th January, is part of the commemoration acts for the tenth anniversary since the Santa María Cathedral Foundation was constituted.
In 2010 it will be a decade since the foundation that manages and develops the restoration project of Vitoria's old cathedral, and all the activities surrounding it, was set up. For this reason we would like to make it a very sweet celebration. From Thursday 7th January everone visiting it will receive a free glass of homemade hot chocolate thanks to Chokoreeto, the chocolate maker from the emblematic confectioners La Peña Dulce in Vitoria.
It is very easy to get. Once the guided tour is over, visitors must get their tickets stamped at the shop that the Cathedral has recently opened at Las Escuelas street number 11, just opposite the temple. And with this stamped ticket they can go to Chokoreeto, a shop located hardly a hundred metres away at number 90 Cuchillería street, to receive their glass of hot chocolate. The exchange must take place on the same day as the visit to Santa María Cathedral, with one exception. As Chokoreeto closes on Sunday afternoons and on their weekly rest day, Tuesdays, anyone visiting on these days will be offered the chance to collect it the following day or exchange it for a triforium-shaped chocolate bar.
