2010/07/29 It is possible to make a guided visit to both places for 7€
Vitoria- Gasteiz, 29th July 2010.- The Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation and Valle Salado Añana will work together in favour of heritage. The Foundations that work for both places have signed today a collaboration agreement for making guided visits to both places, adding to the tour around the salt mines the children´s workshop done in the Cathedral during July. The directors of the Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation, Juan Ignacio Lasagabaster, and of Añana Valle Salado Foundation, MikelLanda, have signed today this agreement that joined two of the most spectacular places of the province of Alava. The Cathedral has been during years a heritage reference and one of the most tourist places in Alava, and Salinas de Añana is recovering a very important place due to its geological characteristics, biodiversity and landscape. Both Foundations work for recovering for the society two of the most notable heritage elements of our territory, and follow a complex restoration process with the same ´Open for works´philosophy . Their functions are also the diffusion of the culture, the economic and social regeneration of the surroundings and the development of scientific researches.
With this collaboration they will exchange information, promote the diffusion, the researches, organise seminars, conferences and courses about commom subjects like the cultural heritage or the restoration.
As result of this collaboration, it is possible to visit both places together with a special price of 7€. For groups of more than 20 persons the price will be of 4€; the students, pensioners and disabled persons will pay 3,5€. For the accompanied children till 10 years old the entrance will be free.
