2010/08/09 The Cathedral begins again the ´Open for Concert´program
Vitoria- Gasteiz, 9th August 2010.- Santa Maria Cathedral will begin again on next Saturday the ´Open for Concert´ program with the concert of the Ancient Music Chapel of Santa Maria Cathedral. Directed by the famous musician Carlos Mena, who was born in Vitoria- Gasteiz, they will offer a program with three different pieces: Antonio Caldara´s ´Maddalena ai piedi di Cristo´oratory, Haendel´s ´Resurrezione´oratory and Pergolesi´s Stabat Mater. The musicians are: Maria Eugenia Boix, soprano. Marina Rodríguez-Cusí, contralto. Andoni Mercero, concertin violin Pedro Gandia, Kepa Artetxe, Ander Berrojalbiz, Federico de Madrazo and Alicia Prieto, violins Lorena Núñez y Maider López, viola Pablo Martin, double bass Enrique Solinis, tiorba. Javier Sarasua, organ and cembalo. All of them are directed by Carlos Mena.
The concerts starts at 20.00pm and the tickets are now available in the Cathedral´s Store ( Las Escuelas St., 11) for 1€ for the members of the Founders Circle of the Cathedral, and 3€ for no members.
