Vitoria- Gasteiz, 14th September 2010.- The Walk of Stone returns to Ajarte on this Saturday again. After the day trip to Elguea on last Saturday, this time the Walk of Stone will return to Ajarte, a town of Treviño where the stone used for building the cathedral comes from. The departure will be from Europa Palace at 8.00am and the return around 14.00pm to the cathedral.
In the last three editions, this visit have had a great success due to the historical and artistic interest of the visit, the exceptional views. The route has 14 kilometers and it is an easy walk for everybody.
Oxes in the Medieval Market
On September 25th, coinciding with the Medieval Market of the Old Town of Vitoria- Gasteiz, the route from Ajarte will remember the carrying of the stone by a wood cart pulled by two oxes that will accompany the group at 12.00am the distance between Mendiola and Plaza del Machete in Vitoria- Gasteiz. The oxes will carry some stone blocks.
