2011/05/23 The students of Luis Aramburu Local Music School, Gonzalo Tejada Trio and the children's show ' El barco de vapor de Willie' will also perfom in the Cathedral in June.
Vitoria- Gasteiz, 23rd May 2011.- The basque singer- songwriter Mikel Urdangarín will play in Santa Maria Cathedral in June and will present his new album ´Zubia´. In the´Open for Concert´program´will also play the students of Luis Aramburu Local Music School, the Gonzalo Tejada Trio, and also the music show ´El barco de vapor de Willie´. Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation begins again the ´Open for Concert´program.
The first appointment is on 4th June and it will be dedicated to the children. The ´El barco de vapor de Willie´show will be a concert with the first cartoon movie created by Walt Disney in 1928 as audiovisual base. It will take place at 12.30pm in the portico. The entrance will be free for children younger than 15 years old. The price for the adults is 5€, and 3€ for the members of the Founders´Circle.
On 9th June, the students of Luis Aramburu Local Music School will offer an audition. It will begin at 7.15 pm in the central nave and it will be free, but it is necessary to pick up the invitations in the Cathedral´s Store ( Las Escuelas St.).
On 11th June , Mikel Urdangarín will offer an acoustic concert for presenting his new album ´Zubia´. He will be accompanied by Rafa Rueda ,electric guitar; Bingen Mendizabal, seven string violin, and Nika Bitchiashvili, violin. The concert begins at 8pm in the portico. The price is 5€, and 3€ for the members of the Founders´Circle.
The last concert of the month will take place on 18th June and it is included in the Jazzargia program. Gonzalo Tejada Trio will tribute to Chet Baker, and will be accompanied by the guitarist Joaquín Chacón and the trumpeter Chris Baker. The concert begins at 8pm in the portico and the price of the tickets is 5€, and 3€ for the members of the Founders´Circle.
The tickets are available in the Cathedral´s Store ( Las Escuelas St. 11) the week of each concert, and the public can buy them from each wednesday.
This Saturday we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Manuel Iradier Choir. They will offer a concert in the central nave at 8pm. The tickets are now available and cost 5€, and 3€ for the members of the Founders´Circle.
