Vitoria- Gasteiz, 20th February 2012.-Santa Maria Cathedral Foundation organizes a new conference in the´Encounters with another cathedrals´series. Tomorrow the conference will be about the cathedral of El Burgo de Osma ( Soria) and the speaker will be the architect and the technical director of the Soria Romanesque Cultural Project, Mr. José Francisco Yusta. The conference will begin at 8.00pm in Villasuso Palace with free entrance.Another conferences have been about the cathedrals of Palencia, Granada. Zaragoza or Tui, and this time they will talk about the cathedral of El Burgo de Osma ( Soria). The actual gothic building replaced the previous romanesque one. They began to buit it in 1232 and has several different styles like the last neoclassical one ( 1784). The cathedral, like other cathedrals of the XIIIth century, it was dedicated to the Assumption, and has also a museum. The speaker will be Mr. Jose Francisco Yusta, architect and technical director of the Romanesque Soria Cultural Project, that it is a conservation and the spreeding of the Romanesque along the province. The most interesting research works are the Master Plans of the Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma and the Santa Maria de Calatayud collegiate church ( Zaragoza). Francisco Jose Yusta has done several restoration works in Burgos, Soria, Segovia and Zaragoza, and he is member of Partal Academy, the free assocation of the liberal professionals of the Monumental Restoration. The conference will begin at 8.00pm in Villasuso Palace and it is entitled ´The Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma ( Soria), 20 years of the Master Plan´. Free entrance.
